Average monthly net earnings for April 2023 amounted to 1 122 euro

Highest average monthly paid net earnings in activity Extraction of crude petroleum and natural gas

The average monthly paid net earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia for April 2023 amounted to 1 122 euro, which represented a nominal decrease of 0.7% and a real decrease of 1.7%, as compared to March 2023. The average monthly gross earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia for April 2023 amounted to 1 547 euro, which represented a nominal decrease of 0.6% and a real decrease of 1.6% as compared to March 2023.

The highest average monthly paid net earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities for April 2023 were paid in the activity Extraction of crude petroleum and natural gas and amounted to 3 625 euro, while the lowest earnings were paid in the activity Manufacture of leather and related products and amounted to 742 euro. The highest average monthly gross earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities for April 2023 were paid in the activity Manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products and amounted to 5 781 euro, while the lowest earnings were paid in the activity Manufacture of leather and related products and amounted to 960 euro.

 In April 2023, there were 159 paid hours on average, which was a decrease of 12.6% as compared to March 2023. The highest number of paid hours was recorded in the Mining support service activities (171) and the lowest one in the Social work activities without accommodation (136).

The average monthly paid net earnings per hour for April 2023 amounted to 6.86 euro, which was 12.8% higher than in March 2023. As compared to the same month last year, they increased by 17.1%. The average monthly gross earnings per hour for April 2023 amounted to 9.46 euro, which was 13.0% higher than in March 2023. As compared to the same month last year, they increased by 18.8%.

Median net earnings for April 2023 amounted to 940 euro, while median gross earnings amounted to 1 254 euro.
