The SNPNC-FO union representing Vueling Airlines (VY) cabin crew plans to strike in France from April 21-23. The industrial action is in support of increased pay for its members. The action is prompting disruptions to VY-operated flights. The airline has canceled around 66 flights to or from Paris Orly Airport (ORY), as of the morning of April 21; further delays and cancelations to VY services are likely. Disruptions could persist after the end of the action, as the airline deals with passenger backlogs and repositions aircraft and crew.
The union has announced further strike dates from April 28-May 1, and May 6-8. Unless averted, these strikes will cause delays and cancellations on peak weekends for travel.
