EWPCC Annual Conference _ MODIFICATION - POSTPONED BY ONE DAY - - NEW DATES !!!!

Enforcing the rights of SNBs, EWCs, and SE-Works Councils

The Conference will be held in Brussels (International Trade Union House) on 14-15 February 2019. You are hereby cordially invited to apply for registration. The Conference will start on Thursday 14th February 2019 at 13:00 and will end on Friday 15th February 2019 at 15:30 PM.

The EWPCC Conferences regularly bring together employee representatives and other practitioners, academic experts, trade unions and policy-makers to discuss relevant research and debate topical issues around workers’ participation.

The next EWPCC Conference will focus on legal enforcement of EWC and SE-WC rights.

During the plenary session, there will be presentations by experts from different sectors. A ‘question and answer’ session will give the opportunity to the participants to get involved and to ask specific questions on various topics related to the rights of SNBs, EWCs, and SE-Works Councils.

Discussions and practical exchanges with the participants of the conference will also be organised in working group sessions.

You will find below the topics for each working group and you will be asked to make a choice for one working group you wish to attend which interests you most.

  1. WG1 – Working group 1 - Practical exchange of experience with colleagues who have gone to court and those who have decided against taking legal action
  2. WG2 – Working group 2 - Who pays the lawyer? Exchange of national-level practices and approaches
  3. WG3 – Working group 3 - Advice clinic with trade union experts
  4. WG4 – Working group 4 - Are legislative changes needed at the national or European level?

The conference will close with an exchange of ideas and open discussion with the participants about the results of the conference.

Members of EWCs and SE-Works Council and board-level employee representatives are warmly invited to the conference, as are trade union and academic experts in this field.
